(Booth 7113) The skeletal health division of women's imaging vendor Hologic of Bedford, MA, will highlight the Opera extremity MRI scanner at this year's RSNA meeting.
Accessed through a partnership with Italian MRI vendor Esaote, Opera serves the orthopedic and rheumatology markets and features an open, C-shaped design. A feature Hologic calls "real-time positioning" enables the system to continuously visualize joint location on the gantry, while gantry-side controls allow operators to choose among sagittal, transverse, and coronal real-time views.
Opera can also be sited in limited spaces, in areas as small as 18 square meters. Due to its low power consumption the system can be connected to a standard power outlet.
