MRI accessories developer Mednovus launched a new MRI safety detector at the Magnetic Resonance Managers Society (MRMS) annual meeting in Tampa, FL.
The company's Safescan Intercept Pillar ferromagnetic detection system features a pair of coordinated independent pillars that help identify the presence of ferromagnetic metals on people or objects, to help keep them from entering the magnetic fields generated by MRI equipment.
Mednovus plans to market Intercept Pillar for $9,500, the Leucadia, CA-based company said.
