MR technology provider Invivo has unveiled ONCAD, a fully-automated, morphological system for use in detecting and analyzing suspicious breast lesions.
ONCAD for DynaCAD uses a patented mathematical algorithm to analyze the entire breast and direct the physician's attention to abnormal morphology during contrast-enhanced breast MRI exams, the Gainesville, FL-based company said.
Suspicious lesions are marked with an intensity-specific color overlay: light pink for those of slight concern, and darker pink for highly suspect lesions.
The system has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clearance, Invivo said.
