Hitachi Medical Systems America of Twinsburg, OH, has been awarded the Novation group-buy contract for ultrasound for the rest of 2010.
Hitachi will offer both its HI Vision 5500 system and the recently released HI Vision Preirus system to members of group purchasing organizations VHA of Irving, TX; University HealthSystem Consortium of Oak Brook, IL; and Provista of Irving.
Hitachi also completed an installation of its Hitachi Oasis high-field open MRI at Valley Radiology Imaging (VRI) in the South Bay area of Northern California. VRI is a subsidiary of RadNet of Los Angeles and has seven imaging centers in the South Bay.
