An increase in deliveries of its Visius Surgical Theatre contributed to revenue gains for image-guided therapy developer IMRIS in its third quarter.
For the period (end-September 30), IMRIS had revenues of $11.6 million, up 36.5% from the $7.2 million reported a year ago. The firm had a net loss of $8.5 million, unchanged from the third quarter of 2011.
IMRIS received orders for two Visius theaters in the quarter. Service contract revenues also climbed 42% to $1.3 million as a result of the increase in installed base, IMRIS said.
