Radiation oncology firm Elekta and Philips Healthcare have added a cancer center in Wisconsin to their research consortium on MRI-guided radiation therapy.
The Froedtert and Medical College of Wisconsin Clinical Cancer Center in Milwaukee is the fifth site to join the consortium, which is investigating the development of an MRI-guided radiation therapy system.
The other clinical members of the group are University Medical Center Utrecht in Utrecht, the Netherlands; MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston; the Netherlands Cancer Institute -- Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Hospital in Amsterdam; and Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto.
