Arterys enhances cardiac MRI analysis software

Artificial intelligence (AI) software developer Arterys has released a significant upgrade to its Cardio AIMR cardiac MRI analysis software.

The more than 80 additions to Cardio AIMR include quantitative delayed enhancement, which offers deep learning-based segmentation of myocardium and identification of reference points, according to the vendor. Users can obtain scar quantification and extent enhancement on a 17-segment American Heart Association (AHA) plot, the company said.

In addition, the web-based software now also features semiquantitative perfusion, adding deep learning-based segmentation of myocardium, identification of reference points, and coregistration, Arterys said. After creating a blood pool region-of-interest, users can receive signal intensity graphs and semiquantitative values on a 17-segment AHA plot. The company noted that the delayed enhancement and perfusion applications are currently for research use only in the U.S. due to the contrast agents being used.

In other enhancements to the software, Arterys said it has also incorporated automated and editable ventricular volume measurements, which are designed to improve clinician workflow by streamlining and speeding analysis.
