United Imaging Healthcare has inked a multiyear strategic research agreement for cardiac MRI with the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.
Over four to five years and in multiple phases, the medical school will work with United Imaging and utilize its artificial intelligence-enhanced uMR 570 system for cardiovascular MRI research, according to the Shanghai-based vendor. In particular, Washington researchers will explore whether cardiac MRI can detect pathological changes in heart tissue before heart function is compromised, enabling doctors to intervene before a patient's health is severely affected, the company said.United Imaging teams with Washington University
