Swedish radiation therapy firm Elekta said it has enhanced its Synergy digital linear accelerator with advancements in conebeam image quality and faster reconstruction of large volumetric images.
The product also incorporates a PlanarView application, which allows orthogonal snapshots of patient anatomy; a MotionView application, which provides fluoroscopic-like, real-time monitoring of high-contrast tumors or internal organs to characterize internal motion at the time of treatment; and a VolumeView application, which supplies high-resolution volumetric images with more than 25 cm of anatomy visible in the cranial/caudal direction for 3D anatomic alignment, according to Stockholm-based Elekta.
