Ultrasound technology startup Exo Imaging has added three ultrasound industry veterans to its roster.

Andy Berthusen has been named vice president of sales and will define the company's commercialization strategy, according to Exo. He most recently served as general manager for GE Healthcare's point-of-care ultrasound business.

In addition, Exo has signed Kutay Ustuner, PhD, as vice president of imaging systems. Ustuner comes to the firm with 30 years of experience in medical ultrasound imaging research and development, and he has led core engineering and innovation teams at Acuson and Siemens Healthineers. He is also the inventor or co-inventor on more than 40 U.S. patents, Exo said.

Also, Don Nisler has joined Exo as senior director of cloud services. Nisler, who has more than 20 years of experience in developing and marketing point-of-care ultrasound systems and related workflow offerings, was previously founder and CEO of point-of-care ultrasound workflow technology provider Telexy Healthcare.
