Dear Women's Imaging Insider,

The goal of any treatment for a disease such as uterine fibroids is to improve the patient's health-related quality of life without the use of invasive procedures. Uterine fibroid embolization (UFE) has shown promise in relieving women of the symptoms associated with fibroids without major surgery and with shorter recovery periods.

In a new study, Viennese researchers compared midterm and long-term quality-of-life results of UFE. In this month's Women's Imaging Insider, we bring you their findings, published in the July issue of the American Journal of Roentgenology. Click here for the article. As an Insider subscriber, you have access to the story well before the rest of our members.
