Women's imaging vendor Hologic has signed digital imaging researcher Dr. Loren Niklason as director of tomosynthesis programs.
Niklason was one of the original developers of breast tomosynthesis while serving as a medical physicist in the department of radiology at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. In his new role, Niklason will provide direction, support, and assistance to the Bedford, MA-based vendor's tomosynthesis research and development efforts.
