Women's imaging vendor Hologic reported record sales and net income for the company's third quarter (end-June 25).
For the period, the Bedford, MA, company posted revenues of $74.1 million, up 25% when compared to revenues of $59.2 million in the same period of 2004. The company posted net income of $8.2 million, compared with net income of $3.3 million in the third quarter of fiscal 2005.
Hologic said the strong results reflect growing sales of its Selenia full-field digital mammography (FFDM) systems, MultiCare breast biopsy tables, and analog mammography systems. The company recognized sales of 64 Selenia systems as revenue in the quarter, and had a backlog of 155 systems as of June 25.
