Computer-aided detection (CAD) developer R2 Technology has unveiled its new Citra Mammography Applications Suite at the RSNA show in Chicago. The applications are for use with its Image Checker D Mammography CAD system and Swedish PACS and digital mammography vendor Sectra's multimodality, universal IDS5 Breast Imaging Workstation.
Citra is the first system to CAD-enable digital mammography reading workflow, and offers radiologists decision-support tools during review of mammography cases, according to the Sunnyvale, CA-based company.
Citra is compatible with all full-field digital mammography (FFDM) systems that have been cleared by the Food and Drug Administration. Its features include RightSize Optimized Temporal Comparison, a package that equalizes the size of all displayed images to help radiologists effectively compare prior and current images; EmphaSize Variable Size CAD Marks, a new marker technology that uses varying size CAD marks to correlate with lesion significance; PeerView Digital CAD Display, which highlights suspicious regions so radiologists can understand the specific features R2's algorithm has detected; and LesionMetrics CAD-Enabled Decision Support, which gives radiologists additional information about a lesion's size and distance to the patient's chest wall and nipple, and rates the lesion with an R2 CAD Score.
