AI software developer iCAD and PACS vendor RamSoft have entered a preferred distributor and integration partnership.
Under the agreement, RamSoft will integrate iCAD's ProFound AI Breast Health Suite in its PowerServer RIS/PACS software, which is used by more than 750 imaging centers worldwide, the companies said.
iCAD’s technology is based on data from a woman's 2D digital screening mammogram and is designed to help detect cancers in between screening intervals, according to the company. It was developed in collaboration between iCAD and the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden, and includes factors such as a woman's age and breast density to estimate her breast cancer risk, iCAD said.
Mammolink, a company that operates five mobile mammography buses across Florida, will be the first to deploy the integrated platform, the companies noted.
