Image management firm Emageon reported enhancements to its advanced visualization software, allowing the better use of volume rendering and 3D navigation in an integrated, open-standards package.
The Birmingham, AL-based company said that its 3D capabilities are now able to run on workstations using off-the-shelf OpenGL graphics cards, eliminating the need for standalone 3D graphics workstations.
