The Italian PACS and x-ray developer will highlight its LifeWeb RealViewer 3.0 visualization software.
The application is a work-list-driven workstation that includes tools such as 3D rendering for use in virtual colonoscopy and endoscopy applications, measurement tools, and data export according to Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) profiles.
Ferrania will also debut LifeWeb TraumaCad, an orthopedic templating application that is designed to simplify preoperative orthopedic surgical planning. The software, which employs DICOM Query/Retrieve protocols, can be used as a plug-in to any PACS software environment.
LifeWeb TraumaCad includes the ability to "cut out" and reposition displaced orthopedic components. Surgeons can review images on multiple screens, viewing and measuring the results of several surgical options. Users can access digital template libraries from most orthopedic manufacturers via the Web, according to the company. Free template upgrades are included.
