Advanced visualization and PACS firm Visage Imaging of San Diego has released an upgrade to its Amira 3D/4D visualization software.
Amira version 5.3 now includes tools for neuroscience research such as MR diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) and CT and MR brain perfusion imaging. This new feature calculates perfusion results and analyzes multichannel functional image data such as gradients, tensors, and fiber tracking.
The package also includes DemoDirector, an application for creating animations and presentations; a redesigned set of tools for spreadsheets and statistics; enhancements to FilamentEditor; and the integration of Visage's Insight segmentation and registration toolkit into Amira's Developer Option, according to Visage.
