The global market for medical image analysis software will grow to $4.5 billion in revenues by 2024, according to a new report from market research firm Grand View Research.
Growth will be driven by the need to use medical image analysis software for diagnosing chronic diseases, as well as the increased use of electronic health records and the sharing of medical records, Grand View said. The company also said that continuous technology advances in areas such as computer-aided detection (CAD) will lead to expanded use of new and improved medical image software tools in disease application areas such as cancer and urology.
Market demand is being driven by physician preferences for software that provides improved image quality, high resolution, and multimodality imaging platforms, Grand View said.
