(Booth 9519) Sapheneia of Jackson, MS, will demonstrate new developments in its Clarity line of software, which is designed to optimize medical images to enable studies to be acquired with less radiation dose.
Sapheneia offers versions of Clarity for CT, x-ray, fluoroscopy, and ultrasound. The applications use image-filtering techniques that are configurable based on medical modality, utilizing 3D data for calculating image optimization.
Clarity CT reduces radiation dose by 20% to 80% depending on anatomy and improves the visualization of images obtained at very low radiation doses. The application is particularly well-suited for pediatric and obese patients, the company said. The software can be integrated into a facility's existing workflow, and it is scalable from an entry-level application to an enterprise-level installation.
In addition to selling to end users, Sapheneia is offering the software to OEMs and has a version of the software available as a software development kit (SDK). Clarity has been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
