In his keynote talk, Gordon Harris, PhD, will discuss the informatics and financial challenges involved with creating advanced visualization (AV) services as streamlined and integrated components of routine practice.
Harris, director of 3D imaging at Massachusetts General Hospital, said he will describe ways in which imaging informatics can streamline routine clinical workflow for 3D and quantitative imaging, tackling issues such as how 3D exams are ordered and identified for processing, as well as how workflow is managed for rapid turnaround time and consistent quality.
Other areas to be covered include issues required for billing compliance, how 3D processing can be managed across multiple sites, and how workflow and analysis of tumor measurements for clinical trials can be managed with longitudinal tracking and across multiple sites, Harris said.
