Advanced visualization software developer Imaging Biometrics and the Medical College of Wisconsin have received a five-year, $2.75 million grant from the National Cancer Institute, part of the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH).
The company will use the funds for the development, translation, and commercialization of software for clinical use in perfusion MRI to better identify brain tumor burden and evaluate treatment response. The researchers plan to add artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities to streamline and automate processing.
