Canadian computer-aided detection (CAD) software developer Medipattern of Toronto has received a medical device license from Health Canada for its B-CAD for breast ultrasound application.
The approval, along with recent European CE Mark and U.S. FDA clearances, allows the product to be sold virtually worldwide, according to the company. B-CAD for ultrasound is available as Cedara B-CAD through Merge Healthcare of Milwaukee's Cedara Software subsidiary.
