Imaging artificial intelligence (AI) software developer Visla Labs said it has raised $3 million in seed funding.
The funding round was led by venture capital firm Lux Capital, with support from former Twitter CEO Dick Costolo and former Twitter Chief Operating Officer Adam Bain, according to the company. Visla said it would use the capital to grow its team, add features for its radiology AI software, receive regulatory approval, and fund expansion and growth.
Visla was co-founded in 2018 by Kevin Quennesson, Wei-En Tan, PhD, and Alessandro Sabatelli. They met while studying and working at Stanford University, Apple, and Twitter, the firm said.
