PowerPACS/RIS marks informatics and image integration debut for RadInfo Systems.
PACS developer RadInfo Systems of Herndon, VA, is launching its integrated RIS/PACS offering on the exhibit floor of RSNA. The Web-enabled PowerPACS/RIS is an IHE-compliant solution to support structured reports, said the firm.
The company said the application represents the first of a new breed of RIS/PACS hybrid developed from the beginning to manage basic RIS/PACS workflow issues, eliminating the need for brokering products. The modular design of the system allows it to scale for environments ranging from small imaging centers to enterprise-level applications, according to the vendor.
PowerPACS/RIS performs basic RIS workflow functions for scheduling, admitting, ordering, and reporting as well as image acquisition, distribution, viewing, printing and archiving functions. Workflow management is customized at each site according to individual client specifications, RadInfo said.
A complete RadInfo Systems turnkey PowerPACS/RIS is available for purchase in the U.S. and international markets with entry-level pricing under $100,000. The price includes maintenance and 24x7 support for the first year, according to the firm.
