Emdeon of Tampa, FL, will demonstrate the capabilities of its Intergy RIS for ambulatory imaging centers and radiology practices.
Intergy RIS features an intuitive user interface coupled with context-sensitive help menus to assist users in running the application, the company said. A progress-relational database that can run on Microsoft Windows Server, IBM AIX, or Hewlett-Packard's HP-UX platforms can support any radiology practice size, according to Emdeon.
The system supports before and after image capabilities for fault tolerance, resulting in little or no system downtime and mitigating the possibility of data loss. Billing components are integrated into the RIS, as are HL7 interfaces for orders and inbound and outbound data reports. A HIS patient data download feature reduces the need to rekey data.
A transcription management system, patient flow tracking with automated actions and events, a flexible multiresource appointment scheduler, automated and multirecipient report distribution, and practice analytics and productivity reporting features are all standard with Intergy RIS, the company said.
The product is available now and has interfaces to leading PACS, speech recognition systems, and mammography tracking systems, Emdeon said.
