Each product is available as a standalone system or as an integrated component of the Hospital 2000 product suite. The PACS/RIS receives patient demographic, order, and appointment information from the registration, appointment, and ordering components of the clinic, ward, and radiology systems. The integrated nature of the software ensures data integrity, elimination of transcription errors and duplicate data entry, and optimizes patient and report turnaround, the Baltimore company said. The system fully supports paperless, integrated workflows.
Hospital 2000 RIS features integrated ordering and appointment request capabilities; flexible order creation features; bar-coded data entry; customizable order form layout; real-time charge posting, folder requests, and inventory deductions; role-based reporting sign-out; and a critical-result flag indicator, the company said.
