Radiology informatics developer Mantis Technology of New York City will introduce its MantisIQ Security Service for RIS clients.
The service is used to authenticate and authorize RIS clients, and was developed using Microsoft's ASP.NET Web Services and .NET Cryptographic services. The software uses secure sockets layer (SSL) digital certificates to provide the authentication, data integrity, and privacy necessary for HIPAA-compliant medical transactions.
It is targeted toward inpatient and outpatient imaging centers, as well as outpatient cardiology practices.
Mantis IQ Security Service is available in the U.S., Puerto Rico, Thailand, Taiwan, China, and Japan. A Spanish version of the application will be available in January next year, the company said.
