MedInformatix's RIS will take center stage in the Los Angeles vendor's exhibit at McCormick Place for the 2005 RSNA show.
The product features fully integrated scheduling, billing, collection, and electronic medical record (EMR) functions. Also available are digital dictation and voice recognition, a Web referring module for referring physicians, and automated document distribution, as well as a mammography tracking module. The RIS has interface capabilities with any PACS or HIS via industry-standard HL7.
MedInformatix RIS is a Microsoft Windows-based application that uses a single SQL database for all patient information. It is currently available in the U.S. at a base price (scheduling, billing, collection, and EMR) of $4,500/concurrent user license.
Additional modules and interface pricing are available on request, the company said.
