Radiology reporting developer StructuRad of Encino, CA, will preview its next major release, Findings Editor version 5, at the RSNA 2005 show, and will also demonstrate its FastFindings Reporter version 5 and unveil a beta version of a new image-collaboration tool, PACSPal.
The latest iteration of Findings Editor adds the use of Microsoft Word to StructuRad's speech recognition, dictation/transcription, structured reporting, and customizable macro reporting software. Reports in the Microsoft Word format are dynamically linked to the knowledge base and, when integrated with a RIS/PACS product, these reports are available in patient records.
The developer said that the macro reporting capability in FastFindings Reporter version 5 now has a library of more than 7,000 report templates. To improve the speed in creating reports, StructuRad has included Guidepost templates for all modalities in its products. FastFindings Reporter version 5 is offered at a starting price of $695, the company said.
In addition, StructuRad will also be introducing the next generation of Study Manager, application software for workflow, task, and report management. Study Manager comes in configurations of single-user workstations, work group, and enterprise. Pricing is by purchase, lease, or pay-per-report, according to the firm.
StructuRad will also be showing a beta version of PACSPal, a low-cost image collaboration application. PACSPal works with any Microsoft Windows-based PACS simply by capturing displayed images. It extends the reach of a PACS to remote physicians with image sharing, audio and text chat, and annotation capabilities. The beta program for PACSPal is free to all qualifying applicants, the company said.
StructuRad reported that its latest product offerings will be available in January next year.
