RIS developer Swearingen Software of Houston will demonstrate its work-in-progress RMS billing module, which is scheduled for release early next year.
The module will be fully integrated into Swearingen's RMS RIS, and is designed to eliminate double-keying and the need for an outside billing agency, according to the vendor.
In addition to its integration with the RMS RIS, the module includes the capability to print paper HCFA 1500 insurance claims and submit ANSI 837 electronic claims. The electronic claims feature will use PGP encryption for added security, the company said.
