AccessPt awarded clinical portal contract

Information systems firm AccessPt of Ridgeland, MS, reported that the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) in Jackson, MS, has selected it to develop and install a single sign-on information portal to present patient records and images from existing standalone systems through a single unified Web interface.

The AccessPt Clinical Portal application will enable authorized physicians and clinicians at UMMC to gain access to disparate patient data spread throughout the organization, including radiology images and reports, according to the company.
