Dictaphone Healthcare Solutions Group has signed an agreement to deploy its PowerScribe speech recognition application throughout the healthcare delivery system of Advocate Health Care of Illinois.
When fully implemented, approximately 250 radiologists and cardiologists will be using the technology, according to Stratford, CT-based Dictaphone.
Dictaphone said it completed a 17-month pilot of PowerScribe at Advocate High Tech Medical Park, which transitioned into production on October 24 this year. Advocate will begin a full rollout of the application across its eight acute care hospitals, as well as select outpatient and cardiology sites, during the next 12 to 18 months, the company said.
