The Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) is partnering with computer industry standards organization Object Management Group (OMG) on standards development, conferences, and resources, such as white papers and webinars.
This collaboration is designed to deliver healthcare industry-specific guidance and specifications enabling the national vision of secure and seamless exchange of health information, according to the groups.
Initial activities in the collaboration include OMG Healthcare Domain Task Force participation in upcoming HIMSS events, such as the Connectathon, during HIMSS' virtual conference this month.
