Philips Healthcare parent company Royal Philips has entered into a collaboration with MedChat to integrate that firm's live chat and artificial intelligence-based chatbot capabilities into Philips' Patient Navigation Manager software.
The collaboration will allow Philips' North American customers to create automated communication workflows that work with patient access and call center services, the company said. Patients will now be able to link directly with live agents via the chatbot and get consultation on symptoms. Philips will provide MedChat's technology as a software-as-service offering.
The company plans to highlight the new partnership at the upcoming RSNA 2021 meeting in Chicago.
