Eastman Kodak Health Group has recently acquired a clutch of European customers for its integrated RIS/PACS suite, according to the Rochester, NY-based company.
The Assistance Publique-HĂ´pitaux de Paris Group in France recently awarded Kodak a tender to equip the 40 hospitals in the group with RIS/PACS software as part of a joint venture. The product will be rolled out to 20 locations across the hospital group within the next two years, the company said.
UniversitĂ Cattolica, Policlinico Gemelli in Italy recently acquired the firm's RIS/PACS product. The system, integrated with the facility's existing hospital information system (HIS), features Kodak's Versatile Intelligent Patient Archive (VIParchive) software, which will be the starting point for the consolidation and concentration of all existing clinical data, Kodak said.
Codira, Germany has selected Kodak to connect up to 16 radiology facilities, located across the Schleswig-Holstein region, to a remote central archive, powered by VIParchive software, with an initial 2-terabyte (TB) storage capacity, based at a Deutsche Telekom data center in Kiel, Germany.
The ASISA healthcare group in Spain expanded its partnership with Kodak to equip its ClĂnica Vistahermosa hospital in Alicante with the DirectView PACS System 5 application. The implementation includes diagnostic workstations, online storage for 18 month's capacity, and Web distribution of radiology images to clinicians. The product is also fully integrated and synchronized with the hospital's proprietary HIS/RIS and speech recognition systems, Kodak said.
The Clinique Universitaire UCL Saint-Luc in Brussels, Belgium, a 950-bed university hospital, has selected Kodak to build its long-term, enterprise-wide archive. UCL is also deploying a DirectView PACS with a Web-distribution system across the hospital for up to 200 simultaneous users.
The Stavanger University Hospital, Stavanger Hospital Trust, in Norway and the Hereford County Hospital, in Hereford, U.K., has upgraded its DirectView PACS products to the System 5 iteration. Hereford has also added Kodak's RIS 2010 to its infrastructure, the company said. Kodak also reported that its RIS/PACS radiology suite has been successfully implemented at the Kennemer Gasthuis Haarlem in the Netherlands.
