Digital imaging integrator UltraRad of Largo, FL, has signed a deal with Cedara Software of Mississauga, Ontario, in which UltraRad has acquired Cedara's I-Reach technology for viewing diagnostic images over the Internet.
UltraRad previously had a nonexclusive license to the software, but now will own the source code, which Cedara has also sold to other firms. As part of the deal, Cedara took an ownership stake in UltraRad.
