Healthcare informatics developer IDX Systems said it has signed an agreement to acquire the assets of image distribution technology provider RealTimeImage (RTI) of San Bruno, CA.
The Burlington, VT-based vendor said it will purchase the assets of RTI at an estimated price of $15.5 million. RTI's Pixels-on-Demand image streaming and cine-motion image viewing technology is integrated into IDX's Imagecast for Cardiology offering.
The acquisition is subject to certain customary terms and conditions, and is expected to close in the second quarter this year, IDX said.
