RIS and PACS developer Merge eFilm has released a Web-based report and image module, Referring Practice PortalT, for its Fusion RIS and Fusion RIS/PACS products.
Milwaukee-based Merge said the product provides real-time access to reports and images for referring physicians from its RIS or RIS/PACS systems. In addition, it provides imaging referral practices with access to the exam and appointment status for patients, as well as an emergency/referral access feature for hospital and clinic referrals in emergency situations.
The portal has support for HIPAA security and auditing features, and can be customized with a facility's brand identity and service information. Referring Practice PortalT is an optional module that can be purchased with Merge's Fusion RIS and Fusion RIS/PACS products.
