Foresight will describe workflow and functionality upgrades for its TIMS PACS connectivity offering.
New additions to the firm's TIMS DICOM system include a feature Foresight calls "update patient information." This feature allows for connectivity of DICOM modalities that are unable to communicate with DICOM modality worklist, according to the Lowell, MA-based firm.
With this feature, TIMS receives the study from the modality and matches it with a DICOM modality worklist query. The updated study can then be sent to the PACS network, Foresight said.
In addition, the new feature allows users to correct patient information errors in studies received on CD, DVD, or from other sources, according to the firm. The software upgrade is available free via online download to all customers on Foresight's support and maintenance contract.
