RIS/PACS vendor CoActiv Medical has introduced PACS4Vets Mobile, a turnkey, portable PACS designed for veterinarian practices.
Featuring a price point of about $5,000, PACS4Vets Mobile combines CoActiv's veterinary PACS application with all required hardware, including a Dell business laptop, according to the vendor. CoActiv said that PACS4Vets Mobile is targeted at practices of one to three veterinarians with a limited number of exam rooms and basic modalities such as x-ray and ultrasound.
All images are archived to the laptop hard drive, and users connect to the imaging modality using a network plug-in or wireless connection. PACS4Vets Mobile can also be upgraded to CoActiv's standard PACS4Vets offering, CoActiv said.
