RIS/PACS developer ClearCanvas has debuted Cleome, a vendor-neutral PACS offering.
Cleome is a Web-based, zero-footprint software package that uses HTML5 to support diagnostic viewing of all medical images, according to the vendor. It includes the vendor-neutral Cleome ImageServer for image archiving, retrieval, and distribution; the zero-footprint Cleome Webstation DX for platform- and browser-independent diagnostic image viewing; and the Cleome Webstation for viewing of images and reports by referring physicians.
Cleome can be scaled from a single user to an enterprise-wide deployment, and it works with any hardware and all imaging modality manufacturers, ClearCanvas said.
The software has received clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Health Canada and has also received the CE Mark.
