Electronic health record firm eHealth Technologies has launched a new service to help smaller practices share diagnostic-quality images.
Express Connect aims to help small, local, and cloud-based PACS participate in the company's existing HealtheConnections imaging network. The service enables clinics, smaller hospitals, and imaging service providers to securely share imaging studies with care teams, a task that had previously been time-consuming and costly for organizations that were not large hospitals.
The company's existing HealtheConnections imaging network uses 35 sources to provide 200,000 imaging studies per month. The automated image sharing platform is used by providers in New York state and is built to work with health information exchange networks throughout the U.S.
