GE Healthcare has signed an eight-year, shared-risk contract to help Jefferson Health strategically transform patient and family healthcare delivery in the Philadelphia area.
Jefferson Health and GE staff will work side by side in areas throughout Jefferson and its Abington Health and Aria Health affiliates to better understand operations and related processes. The staff will focus on areas such as strategic growth, operations, integration, and performance improvement.
A portion of GE Healthcare's fees is contingent upon the level of success both organizations have in reaching certain integration goals.
GE Healthcare and Jefferson Health estimated they could generate $500 million to $1 billion in efficiencies that can be directed toward patient services and care.
