Carestream Health has installed one of its DRX-Revolution Nano mobile x-ray systems in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at Virginia Commonwealth University Health System (VCU).
The health system decided to dedicate the digital radiography system to solely operating in the NICU to prevent the spread of hospital-acquired infection to the unit from adult patients on other hospital floors. The unit is positioned just outside the NICU, enabling VCU staff to respond quickly to requests for imaging.
The DRX-Revolution Nano system has the same user interface as other DRX-Revolution Mobile systems and DRX-Revolution rooms installed at VCU, making operation easier for hospital staff.
