Konica Minolta Healthcare Americas has appointed Fumihiko Hayashida as the company's new president and chief executive officer, effective April 1.
Prior to assuming his new role, Hayashida was president of the company's Brazilian healthcare operations, where he oversaw significant sales growth over the last three years, the company said in a release. He joined Konica Minolta in 2014 as the global manager for all Konica Minolta Healthcare overseas sales operations.
In his new role, Hayashida will drive the continued digital transformation of the company's healthcare business and technology strategy, further accelerating Konica's advancements in digital radiography, ultrasound, healthcare IT, and services solutions.
Hayashida will relocate to the company's Wayne, NJ, headquarters. He succeeds David Widmann, who retired at the end of the company's fiscal year on March 31.
