Iris, an artificial intelligence (AI)-based project to develop algorithms for imaging analysis, treatment planning, and monitoring, has launched in Canada.
The Iris platform will be trained on more than 10 years of imaging data from Canadian health authority partners. Also, it will combine machine-learning models to review every diagnostic test in real-time and identify abnormalities and analyze every radiology report.
Synthesis Health is leading the project, which has a total investment of $13.5 million, in partnership with GE Healthcare, Konica Minolta Healthcare Americas, the University of British Columbia, Vancouver Coastal Health Research Institute, and BC Cancer.
