St. Luke's University Health Network in Bethlehem, PA, has launched a "one-stop" multimodality clinic for breast cancer care.
At the clinic, women presenting with concerning breast symptoms will be offered a range of care that will include advance preparation for appointments, a diagnostic mammogram and/or ultrasound, and, if needed, a biopsy. If a biopsy is performed, pathology results will be shared with the patient within 48 hours. In cases where further intervention is warranted, the team will help the patient make an appointment with a breast surgeon.
St. Luke's collaborated on the effort with Premier, using its PINC AI Applied Sciences database, and GE Healthcare, it said.
