RITA downgrades Q3 outlook

Oncology device developer RITA Medical Systems revised its guidance for the company's third quarter for fiscal 2005 (end-September 30).

Revenue for the third quarter is expected to range from $11.1 million to $11.3 million, versus the vendor's most recent revenue guidance of between $12 million and $12.3 million, according to the Fremont, CA-based firm.

The company said that although it experienced several unanticipated challenges during the third quarter, it now estimated a reduced net loss of between $200,000 and $1 million for the period.
