Digital x-ray manufacturer KA Imaging will launch Reveal, a new x-ray detector that clinicians can use to retrofit older machines to perform dual-energy imaging.
The system fits ISO-standard-size trays, according to KA Imaging. This helps to provide dual-energy imaging for significantly less than the cost of a new system.
Reveal can be used to acquire digital images and is designed to reduce motion artifacts. It is currently being tested in a clinical trial in Kitchener, Canada.
KA Imaging will showcase Reveal at the upcoming 2020 European Congress of Radiology, which takes place March 11 to 15 in Vienna. The company is also aiming to submit Reveal for U.S. Food and Drug Administration clearance later this year.
